Chris is a principal in FMI's Investment Banking practice. He advises clients on strategic business issues involving mergers and acquisitions in the telecom and utility infrastructure markets,and works with firms undergoing internal transitions of ownership and management across all industry sectors.

Chris works with owners to evaluate their transition alternatives and implement an exit plan, including selling to a third party, securing private equity or transferring ownership internally through a management buyout. His numerous personal contacts, understanding of industry trends and experience with both internal and third-party transactions allow him to effectively advise owners preparing to exit their business. He also represents buyers of telecom and utility firms seeking to grow through acquisition.

Chris is a frequent speaker to industry groups, such as the Power and Communications Contractors Association, National Association of Tower Erectors, International Construction Utility Equipment Exposition, Underground Construction Technology and AICPA National Construction Industry Conference. He is the author of numerous articles, including "How to Exit in an Opportunistic Market," "Passing the Torch Without Getting Burned" and "Current Trends Impacting Telecom and Utility Construction."

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in business from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina. Chris also holds a General Securities Representative license (Series 7) from the Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA.
