Steve is a managing director with FMI Capital Advisors, Inc., FMI Corporation's registered Investment Banking subsidiary. In addition to working with construction-industry companies throughout the United States, he works with international firms as they enter new markets through mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures with U.S. companies. Steve is an expert representative for contracting companies that wish to purchase another company. He facilitates all stages of the buyout or merger — establishing the best acquisition criteria, conducting searches for appropriate candidates, screening and analyzing the candidates, and assisting with purchase negotiations. Steve also assists companies that wish to sell. Understanding the need for confidentiality, Steve works with these clients to find a "friendly" buyer and assists in the negotiation process. His comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry and extensive personal contacts within the industry enable him to help clients achieve long-term success with their strategic ownership decisions. Steve's dynamic personality, combined with his in-depth knowledge of equity-transfer issues, makes him a highly effective speaker. He delivers a wealth of information in a down-to-earth, personal style. Steve received a bachelor of arts and a master of business administration from Wake Forest University. He is a member of The Moles, a prestigious association of individuals currently or formerly engaged in tunnel, subway, sewer, foundation, marine, subaqueous or other heavy construction. Steve also holds a General Securities Representative license (Series 7) from the Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA. |
