Bill Spragins is a director of FMI, management consultants to the construction industry. He has worked with a variety of construction organizations and projects of all sizes since joining FMI in 1987. Bill's consulting engagements have included the development of project specific collaborative team processes, organizational evaluation and development, and field productivity improvement.

Bill is FMI's national practice leader for project-specific partnering and teambuilding. He has implemented these processes on over 400 projects — many of them large, complex, and design-build. He has assisted several federal and state government agencies in developing their partnering programs, and helped introduce the partnering process to Australia in 1992. Bill's work has helped outstanding project teams earn industry recognition such as the AGC Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award, the National Quality Initiative Achievement Award, and numerous state awards.

Bill has contributed articles to such industry publications as Construction Business Review, The Daily Pacific Builder, Dodge Construction News, The Daily Journal, and The Contractors Management Journal. He has been a speaker at functions for numerous associations, including AGC, DBIA, ABC, and CFMA.

Bill holds a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., and spent a semester studying in Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Denver.
