AMI offers training in leadership, management, and communications skills through:
- Public Programs: A range of programs offered in San Francisco and other locations.
- Programs through affiliated organizations:
- AIA - Large Firm Roundtable Shared Training Program
- CMAA - Project Leadership Course
Features of AMI programs include:
- Industry orientation: AMI programs specifically address the needs of the architecture, engineering and related firms who work in the built and natural environment.
- Interactive programs: Highly-interactive curriculum improves learning and retention, is based on a combination of real-life situations, practical case studies, role-playing exercises, discussions and reading.
- Class size is kept small to maximize individual attention.
- Faculty from the industry: Faculty members are senior level people with a background in the industry, or who have worked as consultants to the A/E/C industry for many years.
- Familiarity with real-life challenges: Our work with a wide variety of firms and institutions gives us a broad perspective of what's happening now in our industry. We understand the challenges firms face day to day, and draw on what we learn elsewhere to inform your training program.
- Continuing education credits: All programs qualify for continuing education credits, including in-firm training. AMI is a registered AIA-CES provider.
