Managing Director, Energy Service & Equipment
Barry Donovan is a managing director with FMI Capital Advisors, Inc., FMI Corporation’s Investment Banking subsidiary. Barry co-heads FMI Capital Advisors’ activities involving participants in the service and product sectors of the upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas and other energy and process-related industries, including field services, rental services, distribution services, logistics services, software products, capital equipment, tools, chemicals and other consumable products. Barry provides financial advisory services to the industries’ private and public companies and investors for mergers, acquisitions, sales, divestitures, majority recapitalizations and private capital raises of equity and debt, completing more than 150 transactions totaling more than $20 billion in value.
Prior to joining FMI, Barry was a managing director in the energy investment banking groups of Raymond James / Morgan Keegan, providing merger, acquisition, private placement and public offering advisory services to the energy service & equipment industry. Barry also was co founder and managing director of Paragon Advising, an investment bank serving the energy and other process industries and which was acquired by Morgan Keegan (2000-2010) and director of corporate finance and client services of Simmons & Company International, an investment bank focused on the oil & gas industry (1990-2000).
Barry received his bachelor of arts in mathematical economic analysis and managerial studies from Rice University, graduating magna cum laude. He holds General Principal (Series 24), Corporate Securities Limited Representative (Series 62) and Uniform Securities Agent (Series 63) licenses from FINRA.
