Analyst
Benjamen Ober
Benjamen Ober is an analyst with FMI Capital Advisors, FMI Corporation’s registered investment banking subsidiary. Ben is responsible for supporting the investment banking group with mergers and acquisitions, valuations and ownership transfer issues.
Prior to joining FMI, Ben worked as a credit risk analyst at Credit Suisse Group AG. Ben evaluated the credit quality of financial institution clients, including credit modeling and management reporting. He also recommended risk allocations for client trading lines. Prior to Credit Suisse, Ben worked at Tamarac Inc., a financial technology company in Raleigh, were he oversaw trading for $1.4 billion in client accounts. Ben previously interned as a mergers and acquisitions intern with Lorelli & Co. in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in public policy and religion from Duke University. He also received a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Ben holds Investment Banking Representative (Series 79) and Uniform Securities Agent (Series 63) licenses from FINRA and the SEC.
