As a program coordinator with FMI, Betty is responsible for coordinating registrations, assessments and logistics for the Leadership Institute Program. She is often the initial point of contact for clients via email and phone. She administers assessments, seeing that they get completed on time, and troubleshooting when there are problems. She coordinates and organizes room reservations, meals and shuttle service for clients and staff. She also performs post-event follow-up for clients and staff.
Prior to joining FMI, Betty worked as the executive assistant to the president of a nonprofit that worked toward helping end child trafficking. She managed the office, including bookkeeping, payroll, scheduling and correspondence. She also helped coordinate and manage fundraising events and contributed to newsletters and blogs. She gave presentations and hosted booths. She did some travel, working with trafficking survivors in Cambodia. Prior to this, Betty taught in public and private schools.
Betty earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Metropolitan State University, summa cum laude, and earned an accounting technician certificate and is QuickBooks-certified from the Accounting & Business School of the Rockies.
