As a consultant with FMI’s Leadership and Organizational Development practice, Ed believes exceptional leaders are not churned out on an assembly line. They are handcrafted one at a time. Ed’s primary focus is consulting, serving our clients in seasons of transition and management succession. He’s also a facilitator and trainer with FMI’s Leadership Institute and other leadership training events. Then, as a credentialed executive coach, Ed partners with leaders as they gain insights, learn new practices, change behaviors and increase effectiveness and satisfaction in all facets of their lives. He’s particularly excited about helping owners and senior leaders make a successful end-of-career personal transition, discovering a fulfilling next chapter beyond running a successful company.
Ed’s affinity for developing leaders comes out of his own experience as a veteran of the United States Air Force, followed by almost 30 years of executive leadership roles in nonprofit settings. He is deeply aware of the pressures and responsibilities that come with executive roles and is uniquely qualified to accompany top leaders through seasons of growth and struggle on their journey toward greater success.
Ed received a Bachelor of Arts in communications from William Jewell College and is currently pursuing advanced executive coaching certification through Fielding University. Ed is certified in a number of assessments used for leadership development and holds the Associate Certified Coach designation with the International Coach Federation.
