Managing Director, Energy & Industrial Services
Kjell Lundal is a Managing Director with FMI Capital Advisors, and is a senior member of its Energy & Industrial Services Investment Banking group. Kjell has over 20 years of investment banking experience advising public and private companies on mergers, acquisitions, sales, divestitures and capital raising transactions. He works with products and services companies that serve the energy value chain and related process industries, as well as financial sponsors that participate in these sectors. Kjell has advised on over 110 transactions aggregating more than $56 billion in value.
Prior to joining FMI, Kjell was a Managing Director at Baird where he co-founded the firm’s energy investment banking group and most recently co-led its energy services and equipment practice. During his time at Baird, he also helped build the group’s midstream and upstream practices, advising public and private companies on M&A and equity capital markets transactions. Kjell’s prior experience includes working in the mergers & acquisitions groups at National City Capital Markets and A.G. Edwards Capital Markets, where he worked on transactions within energy and other industrial-related sectors.
Kjell received his Masters in Business Administration, with honors, from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and his Bachelors of Science in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds General Securities Representative (Series 7) and Uniform Securities Agent (Series 63) licenses from FINRA.
