As a staff consultant with FMI, Ryan is responsible for supporting thought leadership team initiatives by balancing client work with internal research. Ryan is passionate about building strong leaders and developing high-performing teams through people and process improvement.
Prior to joining FMI, Ryan worked as a financial center manager for Bank of America, where he motivated and inspired his team to establish strong client relationships and achieve operational excellence. A key to success was implementing a customer-centric approach that made client experience a top priority for process improvements. Ryan also served as customer experience champion, where he led weekly presentations to his peers and provided on-site consultation to improve client satisfaction for his market. While at Bank of America, Ryan was also a subject matter expert in financial center compliance and regularly reviewed operational compliance at several high-priority financial centers.
Ryan also possesses a strong background in sales. Prior to earning his bachelor’s degree, he sold cell phones at an inbound call center and insurance for State Farm. Ryan’s ability to listen intently and build rapport with his clients contributed to his success in these roles and prepared him for his leadership role with Bank of America.
Ryan holds his Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Previously, he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri with a dual emphasis in finance and banking and economics.
