Scott Kimpland

Scott Kimpland

As a principal and partner for FMI, Scott Kimpland is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term client relationships with many of the industry’s leading firms. He is a trusted advisor to many labor-intensive contractors, with deep knowledge and expertise in helping companies improve productivity and operational performance. His clients include specialty trade contractors, self-performing general contractors, civil and paving contractors, road and bridge builders, utility contractors and industrial construction companies that self-perform much of their work.

Through his experience helping contractors develop and implement productivity and operational improvement initiatives, he understands what drives contractors’ performance. He is skilled at helping FMI clients implement measurable and sustainable improvements. Scott is a true professional and recognized in the industry as an expert and thought leader on operational and productivity-related issues.

In his more than 30 years with FMI, he has managed the Tampa office, led FMI’s productivity improvement consulting practice, and served on FMI’s board of directors. He is also an experienced instructor and speaker on the topics of construction productivity and operational excellence.

Scott received his Bachelor of Arts in business and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
