Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan are consultants and writers who are almost always worth the read. In 2002, they published Execution, The Discipline of Getting Things Done. While they don’t dismiss good process as helpful in achieving results, their emphasis is on getting things done through others. Results are people-driven. No surprise there, but a lesson worth remembering. Our theme for this edition of the FMI Quarterly is It’s All About Execution. It turns out that we’re biased toward action through people as well.
