As a consultant with FMI’s Leadership and Organizational Development practice, Ryan brings his extensive leadership experience to the challenges facing today’s leaders. Ryan is passionate about enabling leaders, teams and organizations to achieve their full potential through thoughtful analysis, discussion and collaboration. Ryan’s focus is on content development, individual coaching, succession planning, corporate governance and the Leadership Institute.
Prior to joining FMI, Ryan served as an officer in the United States Army for 11 years. His experience in leading teams from two to 200, often in austere environments, gives him tremendous insights into the demands placed on teams in a performance-oriented environment. Ryan spent three years teaching leadership at the United States Military Academy, West Point, where he provided leadership development to cadets and officers as well as coached the Marathon Team. Ryan led teams at multiple levels, providing him with the background and knowledge of opportunities and challenges leaders face.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with minors in history and military science from Colorado State University, a Master of Education in pedagogy and kinesiology from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Business Administration (2020 candidate) from the University of Denver.
